Hello and welcome to our website. We would like to take this opportunity to tell you a little about ourselves and how we came to buy in the Languedoc region.
We first arrived in Languedoc five years ago after holidaying in various areas of Port Grimaud. We went to a property show in the UK and were advised by a number of agents that the ‘real' south of France was in the Languedoc region. With this we caught a plane two days later and bought our first villa in a lovely little village. The relaxed paced of life suited us after having such a hectic lifestyle in the UK.
We have bought several properties and have found that with a little searching we were able to form a good rapport with several immobilier (real estate) agents.
We can not only help to locate lovely properties at realistic prices but we can also help guide you through the complete stages of your purchase. We have found that French banks will lend, on average, between 80-90% of your purchase price (subject to status).
We get offered properties in France which are exclusive. This means that the property is for sale with one agent only. We have found that this is the most efficient way to deal with purchases, as once you arrive in France the choices are actual and you wont have had a wasted journey. This was a problem for us until we found the right people to work with.
We have introduced many English and Irish people to the area and all have settled in well. Most people we have dealt with actually subsidise their French mortgage with rentals through the summer months, and this is also something we can help our customers with.
If you would like to speak to us about any aspect of purchasing or renting property throughout the Languedoc region then don't hesitate to contact us by email and we will endeavour to answer your questions as promptly as possible.
Languedoc
The region has 300 days of sun each year and spans roughly between the Rhone and the Aude river, extending northward to the Cevennes and the Massif Central. The area itself has a lot of historical and archaeological interest, ranging from its cities, markets, towns and villages.
Nimes is only an 8 hour drive away from Calais and there are many cheap flights available direct to Nimes from Liverpool, Manchester and the East Midlands. More flight information can be found on our links page.
There are also many activities within Languedoc to keep you busy including: cycling, horse riding, off-road motorcycling, swimming, canal barges, Scuba Diving, sailing, caving and paragliding to name a few. Information about these and many other activities and sports can be found on our links page.
Please feel free to contact us if you have any queries.
Thanks for taking the time to view our website. Best of luck Steve and Deborah. |
